Editorial & Commercial Photography
Early in my career, I started out as an editorial & commercial children’s photographer. I began in the Hollywood film industry photographing models and celebrities such as Brittany Murphy, Joshua Jackson, Jeremy Jackson, Tatyana Ali, Tia & Tamera Mowry, Danielle Harris, Ariana Richards, Allison Porter, Jonathan Brandis, Benjamin Salisbury and The Moffatts. My first published photograph was for Bop Magazine and featured Edward Furlong on the set of the feature film American Heart, which I captured while I was earning my degree in Commercial Photography at the Art Institute of Seattle.
From there I took a short detour to Tempe, Arizona, where I was the main photographer for the Children’s Division of Elite Models. I then moved on to New York City, where I started shooting editorials for Child Magazine, Healthy Kids Magazine, Earnshaw’s Magazine, Vogue Bambini (Italy), and Bravo Girl (Germany). I also photographed commercial campaigns for clients including Gap Kids, Baby Gap, Converse, Levi’s, Playskool, French Toast and Absorba.
Eventually, I became Editorial Production Manager for Crescent Publishing, before moving onto the marketing side of media as a Graphic Designer, Art Director and eventually Creative Director.
